Shoham was established in 1993 within green spaces based on an understanding of the area's landscape, and with the agenda of integrating the town with its surroundings. Shoham's area of jurisdiction covers 6000 dunam and is home to approx. 20,000 residents, half of them children.
Shoham, characterized by an endless wave of construction, fulfills a central role and a significant geographic reference point due to its location in the center of the country, between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as well as its proximity to Israel's largest airport. Its location on an important traffic axis, such as Highway 1 and the Cross Israel Highway, give it a tremendous commercial and employment advantage.
