Its proximity to Highway 6 allows residents and visitors to take advantage of easy, convenient access to the city. Along with brand new intra-city roadways, residents will have direct access to Highway 6 via Harish Interchange. 

The planned Shahak Industrial Park will include more than 600m2 of business and commercial space, as well as approximately 15,000m2 of public facilities. The park is expected to create 5,000 new job opportunities in hi-tech, communications, and service industries catering to Harish and nearby towns. ​

Living in a Truly Smart City

More than a billion shekels have been invested in Harish's urban development, and it is well on the way to becoming the country's first smart city. Harish is making this concept a reality using city infrastructure planning, complete connectivity, and control from a single municipal hub, allowing residents to provide and receive real-time information online via the municipal app. ​

Traffic Management & Public Transportation

The city boasts beautiful broad streets, 50m wide, including spacious bike paths and sidewalks. Contrast these with the next widest street in Israel, Tel Aviv's Ibn Gabirol Street, which is only 10m wide. The municipality worked closely with the Ministry of Transportation and the bus companies to create a convenient, accessible public transportation system. Harish will be a part of National Region 7 (Hadera) and the municipality is promoting an affordable shuttle system to the Hadera train station, 8km away. From there, it's just a short train ride to either Haifa or Tel Aviv. Additionally, Harish will be connected to the Jezreel Valley railway.
